Announcements and a Message from our Board
Capital City Coin Club (CCCC) Members,
I hope your summer was good for you. The CCCC Board met a few times over the summer and has adopted some changes that you may find helpful. Here is a summary of the changes and other important info for this coming club year.
Nominations and Elections for Club Treasurer and Secretary
The Club Secretary and Treasurer positions, formerly filled by Linda Philips and Zach Schneider respectively, are now vacant and need to be filled for this coming year. If you are interested in either of these positions, please let us know or bring your nominations to the September meeting.
Committees Forming
Several committees will be forming for this coming year and onward, including auction, coin show, and bourse committees. If you are interested in signing up for any of these committees you will be able to do so at the September meeting.
Meeting Auctions
We are making some changes to how we collect lots for the monthly meeting auction. Lots will now be collected at each meeting for the following month’s auction, e.g., the lots collected at the September meeting will be put into the October meeting’s auction. Members may bring up to 10 lots for the next month’s auction. Please provide proper packaging for your lots with dates and mint issues, and bear in mind that a lot may contain more than one coin. We are aiming to auction off 50 to 60 lots per month, so don’t hesitate to bring your coins down if you’d like to get a bit of money for them!
Upcoming Coin Shows
Several shows are coming up in the next few months, including the State of SD Coin Show in Mobridge on September 16 and the annual Minot Coin Show September 30 and October 1. Our club will be holding its annual show next year on April 6 and 7 at the Eagles Club, so mark your calendars! More details about our show will be shared as the date gets closer.
Meetings, Auctions, and Socials
As a reminder, Monthly Membership/Auction meetings are the first Thursday of each month at 7 PM in the Bismarck Eagles showroom. Board meetings will be held one hour before the Membership/Auction Meeting. Social Meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month the share information, ask questions, and learn about coins. As usual, each meeting will be posted on our Facebook page and our website.
That’s all for now. We look forward to seeing you on September 7!

I’m new. So just have a question as to when you meet for the stamp club.
Thank you.
